Are you a backcountry skier or split-boarder in search of wilderness adventure? Do you have dreams of exploring the world’s greatest mountain ranges? If so, the SMG Alaska Range Expedition is for you!

SMG has unrivaled Alaskan experience. Our guides have completed dozens of expeditions into “the Range,” including big first ascents. We’re teaming up with our friends at Mountain Trip, an authorized Denali National Park concessionaire, to offer this seven-day, six-night expedition.

Our small team will meet in Anchorage, Alaska, to double check our gear and buy any last-minute provisions. We’ll drive to the quaint village of Talkeetna, then buckle up for an exhilarating bush plane flight onto the glacier. After we establish a comfortable base camp, your guides will provide an in-depth crevasse rescue training. Then we’ll set about exploring the area on skis, with untracked powder in every direction! In addition to showing you around this alpine wonderland, your guides will act as mentors, coaching team members through the intricacies of traveling in complex avalanche terrain.

At the completion of our expedition, we’ll fly back to town. Transportation back to Anchorage will also be provided. This will be an experience you’ll remember for years to come!
